The law firm of Bross & Frankel advocates for individuals with disabilities as they navigate the process of filing for disability benefits. We offer skilled, compassionate representation to clients in the central New Jersey region. With nearly 100 years of combined experience, our team uses their knowledge and skill to fight for our clients’ right to compensation.
Our attorneys offer a range of services to clients. This includes helping New Jersey residents who have been hurt at work obtain workers’ compensation benefits and assisting other workers to file for and receive long-term disability benefits. This office also handles Social Security disability benefits claims as well as veterans benefits matters.
Our team also helps employees who have experienced discrimination, retaliation, and other forms of workplace injustice. We are fierce advocates for our clients, working tirelessly to help them get the compensation that they deserve.
How We Can Help You
Social Security Disability / SSDI Claims
People who are unable to work due to a disability may qualify for benefits from the Social Security Administration (SSA), such as Social Security Disability Income (SSDI) and/or Social Security Insurance (SSI). As with any bureaucratic process, filing a claim for SSDI or SSI benefits can be challenging, requiring a significant amount of documentation and attention to detail. We help clients file their initial applications for benefits and represent individuals whose claims have been denied.
Veterans Disability Compensation & Pension
Military veterans with disabilities may be eligible for certain benefits from the Veterans Administration (VA). This may include benefits for service-connected and other disabilities, a pension, and/or compensation for survivors. Although the VA does not allow veterans to be represented by counsel when initially applying for disability benefits, we offer consultations for veterans, at no obligation and no cost. If your application is denied or you receive a lower disability rating that you should have, we can file an appeal on your behalf.
Long Term Disability Claims / ERISA Benefits
Long-term disability (LTD) insurance can protect your financial stability in the event that you are unable to work due to a disability, offering monthly compensation of up to 60% of your salary while you cannot work. Unfortunately, many insurers wrongfully deny or terminate claims for LTD benefits. If the plan is covered by the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA), our firm may be able to file a lawsuit in federal court on your behalf. If your insurance policy is not regulated by ERISA, we can assist you with filing an appeal and potentially a lawsuit against the insurer in state court.
Workers Compensation Claims
Under the New Jersey Workers’ Compensation Law, employees who are injured or develop an illness as a result of their work may qualify for benefits. These benefits may include medical treatment, temporary disability, permanent partial disability, permanent total disability, and death’ benefits. Workers’ compensation is a no-fault system, which means that you are not required that your employer was negligent in order to be awarded benefits. Many issues can arise in the course of a workers’ comp case, including the insurer denying or limiting benefits. We will fight for your right to compensation throughout the process, from the initial claim report until a final appeal.

Employment Law / Employment Discrimination
Under both federal and New Jersey law, it is illegal for an employer to terminate you or discriminate against you on the basis of your age, gender, race, disability status, national origin, or religion. It is also against the law for your boss to retaliate against you for speaking out about harassment or discrimination. Our disability attorneys in Princeton, NJ represent employees who have experienced unlawful treatment by their employers, working to obtain a fair settlement or jury award to assist you in moving forward with your life.
